1st and 3rd Mondays - The NEE Jam
at the Firehouse Theater in Newport, RI
Held on the first and third Mondays of every month from 7–9pm at Newport’s Firehouse Theater, the NEE Jam is always free and open to everyone. A dedicated house band and a full production and live-stream team anchor the night while guest musicians sign up and join the band throughout the evening.
No two jams are ever the same, with music ranging from classic soul and jazz standards to rock, pop, and full-on improvisation. The NEE Jam welcomes students, gigging musicians, and hobbyists alike to play with the band. Or, if you’d rather just kick back, it’s also a perfect night to enjoy free, live music and see something completely unexpected unfold!

Saturday, April 18th - SNACKTIME
at the Jane Pickens Theater in Newport, RI
On Saturday, April 18th the Philly-based 7 piece band SNACKTIME blazes Newport with NEMO’s help!
Coming off their 2025 set at Newport Folkfest, SNACKTIME - a brass-heavy band that plays high-energy music blending funk, soul, punk, hip-hop, R&B, and jazz- can't wait to get back to Newport and rock the Jane Pickens Theater stage in a celebration of the high holiday, 4/20.

Sunday, July 5th - NIMFest 2026
at the King Park Gazebo
The free concert series took place every Sunday throughout July and August at the King Park Gazebo, overlooking the beautiful Newport Harbor. Made possible through support from the Hamilton Family Foundation and the City of Newport, the series spotlighted local artists from Rhode Island and beyond.
Performers in 2025 included Princess June, Jill McCracken, Diane Blue and her all-star band, Guess Method, The Down City Band, John McKenna’s jazz quartet, and a singer-songwriter showcase featuring Polly Bessette, Breachway, and Space Cowboy Newt. The series also featured a special collaboration with Newport Classical and their resident festival artists.
NIMFest 2025 saw record attendance and widespread praise for its exceptional sound quality and diverse, high-caliber performances.
