The NEE Jam
The NEE Jam is an ongoing, community-focused jam session built around creativity, spontaneity, and the shared joy of making music.
Held on the first and third Mondays of every month from 7–9pm at Newport’s Firehouse Theater, the NEE Jam is always free and open to everyone. A dedicated house band—led by hosts Chase Ceglie (saxophone) and Chris Vaillancourt (guitar), alongside Brendan Keogh, Tim Lee, John Gilleese, and a full production and livestream team (Rand Bradbury Jr, Harrison Renshaw & Elias Wheeler) anchors the night while guest musicians sign up and rotate throughout the evening. No two jams are ever the same, with music ranging from classic soul and jazz standards to rock, pop, and full-on improvisation. The NEE Jam welcomes students, gigging musicians, and hobbyists alike to play with the band. Or, if you’d rather just kick back, it’s also a perfect night to enjoy free, live music and see something completely unexpected unfold.
